 Roses are flowers that anyone in the world would be familiar with. As like most other flowers, the origin of this flower’s name is from Latin. The word ‘rosa’ is the basis for the name of this prominent flower.
However, it did take some time to reach its present name. Roses are always sought after flowers. During the seventeenth century, they were rare to find in spite of the fact that there were 150 types of roses in the world.
As a matter of fact, to send a rose was considered as a matter of pride. They were even considered as a form of currency for some time in history.A rose is a flower shrub that belongs to the genus Rosa and the family Rosaceae.
This family includes as much as 100 species and even comes in a variety of colors. This species includes of erect shrubs, trialing or climbing plants. A rose has some modified branches, stems or even some epidermal tissues which are often wrongfully referred to as thorns.
Most of the species of roses are native to Asia. But there are also other types of roses that are native to other region of the world such as Europe, Northwest Africa and America. These flowers are famous for their fragrance and their beauty.
Apart from Valentine’s Day, there are special times such as wedding anniversaries to send these flowers. A rose can bring about a whole sea of change on a person. For a girl, its effect is simply fascinating. Today, sending roses is hardly a problem. One can just remain seated in his office and send roses to any person.
Yet to personally send a rose to any person is a great experience. One gets the chance to see how impressed the receiver is. To present a rose to a person is to show your love and affection.
